Founded in 1930, Studio Legale Assumma focuses exclusively on complex corporate compliance and white collar crime issues. Our clients include foreign and domestic listed and privately-held companies, corporate directors, and individuals. We frequently represent companies listed on the Fortune 500 and the Forbes Global 2000, as well as government-held entities. Navigating the Italian judicial and public administration systems can be tricky, and to do so successfully takes experience and an in-depth understanding of the local systems and culture. We have this expertise and whether acting as defense counsel or advising on corporate governance matters, we strive to provide our clients with a cost-effective and pragmatic approach to resolving their issues. While headquartered in Rome, we practice throughout Italy and regularly work with co-counsel and corporate counsel from across the globe. Prof. Bruno Assumma holds the IV Chair of Criminal Law at the University of Naples Federico II School of Law. Since 1981, he has taught criminal law at the advanced training program of the Italian Tax Police (“Corso Superiore” di Polizia tributaria della Guardia di Finanza).  The firm works in conjunction with Noikos Νικε Istituto di Ricerca S.r.l., which provides consulting services on corporate compliance issues, including models of organization, management and control, codes of conduct.
